I Heart Pasadena

I heart Pasadena!

(this is City Hall, probably one its' most photographed places next to the Rose Bowl)

We've gotten the joy of staying down in this area for the past week and reliving aspects of life from 4 years ago. It's been great and crazy all at the same time. Matt took a 5 day intensive course at Fuller, I shopped (of course), we enjoyed Old Town with it's delicious restaurants and 21 Choices, saw Mary Poppins at the Ahmanson Theatre in downtown LA, spent time with good friends and family. All the while introducing Hannah to places that we loved and lived in before she was born.

Tomorrow we head back home.

double fisting it!

One of the many things that Matt & I love about California is In-n-Out Burger. (In fact, Matt loves it so much he ate there 3 times in one day in college, okay that's sort of disgusting.)

Well, it seems that Hannah has inherited our love for their cheeseburgers.

Recently she insisted on holding the cheeseburger all by herself and eating it.

Her mouth is barely large enough to fit around it.

But she devoured it.

cousin crazy-ness

In the Robbins Family, there are currently 7 grandkids all under 6 years old (and #8 is on his way). (And yes, it is kind of crazy when we all get together in one house.)

Here they are with Grandma and Grandpa after Christmas!

Here are all the girls in the bath together. Hannah is the youngest and smallest of all the girls so we thought it would be a good idea to seat Cassidy, the oldest, next to her.

Unfortunately, that was maybe not the wisest idea!

But a fun and crowded bath was had by all!

Our Future Family

If you haven't already guessed - it's a boy!!
(I've tried to translate the ultrasound for those of you unfamiliar with them.)

We're really excited for him to come but it means putting all of our bright pink newborn clothes firmly away in the garage.

Over Christmas, Hannah became very interested in her 5 month old baby cousin, Caleb. She loved staring at him and resting her head on his tummy.

What a beautiful preview this is of our future family!

Pink or Blue?

Last week we went in for our 20 week ultrasound. Matt really wanted to guess the gender (and he got it right). So we thought we'd let you guess also...

What do you think? Boy or girl???

(*hint: the view is as though you were changing the baby and lifting up it's legs)

If you can't tell, don't worry! It took me about 5 different pictures before I could see what Matt and the tech were looking at. (By the way, Matt was so good at identifying different parts of the body on the ultrasound that the tech said if he's ever looking for another job, he should look into becoming an ultrasound tech.)

Here are a couple of other pictures of our growing baby,

a cute hand

a tiny foot

It is truly amazing to see (and now feel) this tiny baby (only 1 pound 1 ounce) kicking and moving around inside. What a miracle new life is!
