7 years!

7 years ago today, Matt & I were married at Central Presbyterian Church in Merced, CA. Our marriage has been such an adventure. I think the thing that will most mark this past year, is the first year of parenthood culminating in our trip to India.

Here we are on the steps of the cottage we shared with my mom and 5 college women for the 2 weeks we were in India:

As you can tell, Hannah had a great time!

I can't wait to see what the next 7 years hold for our family!

Back Home

We're back at home, but not officially back to ourselves yet. Jet lag is brutal, jet lag with a baby is beyond brutal.
Because I cannot form complete thoughts, I will post a precious picture from our trip.
Here is Hannah in her very cute Indian dress
As more sleep comes, so will the stories and photos... I promise.

Leavin' on a Jet Plane

After a flurry of packing, we head out early tomorrow morning for the other side of the world. Here's a video of where we're headed:

A Family Dinner

We had a bunch of the extended Robbins' Family over for dinner this week. Here are some great pictures from that night.

cousin Sydney asking to give Hannah a hug

Hannah obliged

Sydney instructing Hannah & Reagan about how to read music :)

Reagan's beautiful blue eyes

eying each other from across the table (oh what mischief they will cause when they are older)

Reagan delighted in using Hannah's car seat as a rocker

Sydney eating her "beautiful" cake from the Nugget

Unseasonably Beautiful

The weather is unseasonably beautiful right now! Going for a picnic is the best way I know how to celebrate. Today Hannah and I spent a good 2 hours with our friends Allison and Joshua picnicking and playing.

Hannah decided eating was not for her and instead decided to devour my wallet:

a few minutes later Joshua took off with his mom's shoe and Hannah escaped with my credit card (see her hands below):

Hannah was delighted to find a tin of Altoids chewing gum in my purse and shook it to make all the music she could:

Who needs a jungle gym when you've got a stroller to climb on and push?

and finally a single shot of Hannah's new shoes - now that she is cruising around and we're heading to India she has her first pair of real shoes:

(I'm pretty sure that only a one year old can pull off wearing bright pink shoes with butterflies on them.)

strawberry jam

Today I made strawberry jam for the first time.

It was amazing,

delicious,

and very messy!
*note to self - next time use a larger pot :)
